Binders that fit top loaders

A regular binder pocket is sized for a sleeved card, not a 3" × 4" top loader. These binders are built for the top loader.

The short answer

Use a binder that names top loaders in its specs. Three do in our catalog:

BinderPocketsStated capacityPublished pocket size
Vault X 9-Pocket Exo-Tec Toploader Compatible9 per side, 14 pages252 cards in 35pt Toploaders116 × 91 mm
Vault X 4-Pocket Exo-Tec Toploader Compatible4 per side, 12 pages96 cards in 35pt Toploaders116 × 91 mm
Ultra PRO 9-Pocket Zippered TOPLOADER Premium PRO-BINDER9 per side, 20 pages180 cards in TOPLOADER or CARDPRESERVER holdersNot published
Card into soft sleeve, into top loader, into binder pocket
Each layer has its own limit. The binder has to fit the top loader, not the card.

Vault X spells out the stack: card into a soft sleeve or exact-fit sleeve, into a toploader, then the loaded toploader into a Toploader Soft Sleeve “upside down (opening at the bottom)”, then into the binder. Its Soft Sleeves for Toploaders measure 81 × 108 mm, and Vault X says you need one 100-pack for the 4-pocket binder and three for the 9-pocket.

Thicker top loaders

The published capacities are for 35pt top loaders. Thicker top loaders are deeper, and none of these makers confirms them, so the Fit Finder marks them unverified.

Regular binders

A standard 9-pocket binder such as Ultra PRO’s Zippered Premium PRO-BINDER is sized for sleeved cards (“180 cards in Deck Protector sleeves”), not top loaders.

Questions collectors ask

Will a 55pt or 75pt top loader fit a top loader binder?

Vault X states capacity for 35pt top loaders only, and Ultra PRO names its Regular and Premium 3" x 4" top loaders. Thicker top loaders aren't addressed, so we can't confirm them.

Will magnetic holders fit?

None of these makers says so for these binders. For magnetic holders, a card box or display is the documented option.
